Your skills and strategic intuition are the key to success at Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord, but of course gold is also important. After all, it is money that allows us to survive, pay for the maintenance of our units and buy better equipment.
Fortunately, getting rich doesn’t seem to be difficult at all, as long as we don’t want to get huge sums of money quickly, and buy whole kingdoms for it.
The best and quickest ways to get gold in the first hours of the game, when we don’t yet have our own city bringing income include:
- Defeating bandits – we always take some gold away from them, and then we can also sell prisoners or the equipment we took from them. Of course, don’t start with groups of bandits who outnumber you.
- Quests are the safest way to earn money in most cases, especially if we focus on escort and delivery missions, which do not require any risk.
- Trade – efficient trade, I might add. It means to sell products at the best possible prices. Remember that different cities offer different prices for different goods. So if you get a lot of items or resources of some kind, visit a few settlements or towns before deciding where to sell your redundant goods.
- Taking part in tournaments. When you are visiting larger cities, look at the arena to see when the tournament is scheduled. You can win a lot of money in such tournaments – although it’s only good for the more advanced players.
Another way of making money is to attack villages and rob them, but it’s not a method that could be mentioned in our list of the fastest ways to make money in Bannerlord as it ruins our reputation and exposes us to punishment.
