The manufacturer has presented the Reno 3 model for the global market, which will probably also be released in USA in the near future. Unlike the Chinese version with the same name, the smartphone has a MediaTek Helio P90 processor on board.
OPPO Reno 3 Specs
We would be happy to welcome the Chinese Oppo Reno 3 variant in America, because it has a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L processor, which is one of the most efficient System-On-A-Chip processor in its class and also offers an integrated 5G modem. The manufacturer apparently decided that on the global market it will be more profitable to use a slightly weaker version of the chipset offered by the Taiwanese company. This is because it uses an 8-core (ARM Cortex-A75 + ARM Cortex-A55; 12 nm FinFET) MediaTeka Helio P90 2.3 GHz, which does not support 5G networks. However, this should positively affect the final price of this model.
The Oppo Reno 3 international version also offers an AMOLED display with a 6.4-inch screen size, 20:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ 2400×1080 pixel resolution with a V-shaped cut-out at the top and an on-screen fingerprint reader. According to the manufacturer’s declaration, the screen-to-body ratio is 90.8%. The smartphone also has on board 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in memory with the possibility of expansion with a microSD card with a maximum capacity of 256 GB.
In the case of Oppo Reno 3, the manufacturer placed great emphasis on cameras. For self and video chatting there is a single 44 MP with 0.8 µm pixels and an f/2.4 aperture. On the rear panel there is a quadruple 48 MP (f/1.8) + 13 MP (f/2.4; the so-called telephoto lens) + 8 MP (f/2.2) with a wide-angle lens (109° viewing angle after distortion correction) + 2 MP with a monochrome sensor. It offers 5x hybrid zoom, 20x digital zoom and 4K video recording at 30 frames per second. When recording video, the user can take advantage of Ultra Steady Video 2.0 stabilization system and bokeh in real time. What’s more, there is also an option to take pictures in 108 MP using interpolation (Ultra Clear Mode) and a mode for macro photography (up to 3 cm). In low light conditions, Ultra Dark Mode is designed to help you take pictures in low light conditions (it turns on automatically when the software detects that the light intensity is below 1 lux).
The new Oppo Reno 3 also offers Bluetooth 5.0, Dual SIM, USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone connector. The smartphone is controlled by ColorOS 7 based on Android 10, and is powered by a 4025mAh battery with support for VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 fast charging technology (up to 50% in 30 minutes, up to 100% in 73 minutes). The whole thing measures 160.2×73.3×7.9 mm and weighs 170 grams.
Oppo Reno 3 Price
We don’t know the price of this model yet. The smartphone made its debut in Sri Lanka in the first place and in the following weeks it should gradually appear in the rest of the world.
